February 2025
Hello Gremlins! It’s L.L. here to talk about what I’ve accomplished this month!
Don’t get your hopes up because unfortunately, it’s not been much.
Originally, I had all the plans in the world to start editing The Cardinal Club this month. Beta Reading had finally ended for the novel and I was so excited to begin finalizing my chapters. However, this quickly revealed itself to be a monumental task. I had even planned so far ahead of time that I had all my documents already set up in their corresponding folders. Thank goodness I did that, otherwise I believe the entire endeavor would have taken me weeks to figure out.
Now that I had everything in place to merge all the beta reading documents, I thought it would be such a simple task. OH HOW WRONG I WAS. My (excuse my french here) gros con thought it would be a wonderful idea to begin editing the documents before merging them. Needless to say, I had to bypass all those edits and accept the defeat that I wasted all that effort editing. I found that I couldn’t combine the documents without go back to eeevvvverrryyy single copy and editing them to be exact before comparing and combining.
I lost all of those edits, yes, but I saved SO MUCH TIME.
You live and learn folks. So take it from me for the next time you decide to write, edit, and publish your own novel.
Compare
Combine
THEN EDIT (thank me later <3)
So considering all of well… that happening, I’ve been taking a break to focus on a different project; Project Juno. Which now has a name by the way. I formally introduce you to:
The Maiden Of The Damned
Beautiful title, isn’t it? I only spent HOURS coming up with that one. Ugh. Anyway, it fits and I’m especially happy with how it ties back into the events of the book.
More on that later.
I hope you like the site. Please feel free to explore to your hearts content. I know there is much to be added, but for now, I'm going get some much needed rest.
Signing off.
